1.Material

The super-strong magnets are made of neodymium, iron, and boron (NdFeB). The exact chemical formula is Nd2Fe14B. Neodymium magnets differentiate themselves from ferrite magnets through a much higher remanence induction and coercive force.

NdFeB magnets have some limitations due to their corrosive nature. In wet applications, the use of protective coatings is highly recommended. Coatings that have been used successfully include epoxy coatings, nickel plating, zinc plating and combinations of these coatings.
